Do you remember as a kid, thinking about the magic of nature and the mysteries of special places? Did you ever spend time wondering where the animals live in the forest? Or what animals do once people go to sleep? You’re invited to travel back to that time of mystery and wonder. Come down and check out our “Winter Wonderland Along the Shore—Celebrating the Magic of Nature” window display, thanks to a partnership with The Green Life and nature artists Joyce Carroll and Lynn Beach. It’s a small way that we can give back to our community and say thank you for caring about the places big and small that make Lake Champlain so special. Together, we are conserving the woodlands and lakeshore, streams and rivers, farms and mountains that make the Lake Champlain region what it is today—and what we want it to be tomorrow. So if you are in town this holiday season, bring your friends and family, and especially kids, to The Green Life (67 Main Street in downtown Burlington) now through the end of the year. Some will see a mouse offering a stick arm to a snowman. Some will see paper clip ice skates. And some will see a window display full of holiday magic of years gone by. I look forward to hearing what you see—please email me your thoughts! Chris Boget P.S. A special thank you to The Green Life for co-sponsoring this exhibit as well as generously donating 10% of all sales to the Lake Champlain Land Trust this Thursday, November 17th. P.P.S. We have it on good authority that the mice will be doing different things each week through the end of the year! We will begin our raffle contest this Thursday— cool prizes available for both kids and adults!
